Can you identify this mast?

I haven't been able to identify the model mast on my boat...but I bet someone on this forum knows the answer...its been a great resource for questions like this.

My boat is a Beneteau Oceanis 46'. The mast was replaced with a taller model from what I was told was a Beneteau Oceanis 49'. The mast is 54' 10" off the boom (+4' taller than OEM). It has a different track and gate for the sliders. The label on the mast is hard to read and it doesn't correspond with anything on the manufactures website.

I ask because I just placed an order for sails and I would like to confirm my measurements. Also, it would be nice to know for buying replacement parts, future changes to the rigging, etc...

Re: Can you identify this mast?

Have you tried calling the phone number on the plaque or emailing them? They may not show discontinued products on their website. (Briggs & Stratton doesn't show the engine on my lawn tractor either, but it's their engine.) If you don't speak French, they would probably respond to an email in English. Include photos to help them identify the extrusion. Z Spars International - Conception des produits One of the guys there might even be able to tell who wrote the numbers on your spar in the first place from the handwriting!

I tried several times. Also so other vendors like US Spars. No one has returned my calls or emails.

It kind of looks like Z12536 but their website only shows a Z125 and a Z1250.

Re: Can you identify this mast?

Not always my favorite folks, but you might check the mast dimensions at Rigrite. Assuming from the label that it is indeed a Z-Spar mast then Z-Spar Mast Specs

You need the maximum width and depth of the spar section to get close. Then you can compare what they say about slot size with the slot you have.

Despite the Z.Diffusion label I'd also at least take a look at Sparcraft Spars, Bene used a lot of them.

Re: Can you identify this mast?

I have talked with people from all of these companies today. I was told the mast is the same as OEM Beneteau just taller. The Spar is Z902 Conventional and the boom is Z480. Thanks for all the comments.

I can't help wonder why they don't just list that on the label. Some of the vendors wouldn't tell me any info until I placed an order which doesn't even make sense. Go figure.
