Catalina Fix-Up . . . Where to Start ?

Hey guys,

I'm using this post as a marking for the repair, reconstruction for my Catalina '34 "Herodotus."

So far, I'm looking at some gel coat repair, rub rail replacement, there's a stanchion that needs to be replaced and lifelines that need refitting. I'd also like to upgrade the sheets/halyards on the boat (more brightly colored for recognition both for myself and family/friends), repair the lifelines (cracked), name plate replacement and overall cleaning shop. And that's what i remember. I've been digging through the c34 website for some excellent ideas for the vessel.

And apparently I'll be cleaning out the knot-meter. Sigh.

On the more luxurious side of things:

16,000 BTU air conditioner. It was suggested numerous times to place in the v berth compartment.

I'm still crunching numbers whether purchasing a netbook for down below with open source software might be better than shelling out for chartplotter on deck.

That's ABOUT it.
