Cell Service Guadeloupe

We are chartering for a week in Guadeloupe. Does anyone have experience using a local SIM, or getting a portable wifi device? We would prefer to have some internet capability on board. Also - if you have a favorite anchorage, favorite beach, etc, please feel free to chime in! Thanks.

Re SIM card. We bought our Digicel SIM card in St Martin and it has worked throughout the Caribbean down to Grenada including Guadeloupe. As far as favourites we loved snorkeling Cousteau marine park around Pigeon Island. Other snorkeling spots down the west side. Les Saints recommended too. One week just not enough time. If you get a chance rent a car, tour both islands. Vastly different geologically.
