There are other nasty tasks that may let people rather pay than DIY, like repairing, fixing heads, plumbing new hoses, scrapping the hull for antifouling, teak deck reviwing and the like. Battery problems, rigging repairs on standing rigg and mast inspections, re-wiring, replacing outdated parts up in the sky... Some cruisers are simply too old for the monkey jobs and rather pay than climb up....
It's not eaysy money so.

If going international, consider legality...one bad job or upset local competitor could get you reported to the authorities...and then it gets ugly if you are on a tourist visa.
