Concrete Hull

Any opinions on a concrete hull boat good bad? Saw a 58' x 18' on craigs list with a diesel engine so I wanted to ask about it.

Re: concrete hull

get it surveyed, that way you wont get caught with a lemon!there is nothing wrong with a well built ferro hull but remember a hull and deck is the cheap part fitting her out and rig is where the expense is good luck what ever way you go

Re: Concrete Hull

We bought an Endurance 35 4 years ago she was built buy Windboats of wroxham and she sails beautifully and feels very secure in a heavy sea, we spent a lot on the survey and she came up trumps, you can get alot more boat for your money I would rather have ferro and or steel than GRP, probably better to buy one ready to sail rather than just buying a hull and deck, as the rig will cost a hell of a lot there are some beautiful Ferro boats Hartley Fijean is another one of our favs as well as the endurance 45, good luck!!
