Courtsey Flag Source ?

Where are you buying your courtsey flags from ? I'd appreciate any reliable resources you may have.

Specifically looking for
Panama ( just found on Amazon )
Galapagos Islands
Kiribati
Marquesass
Fiji
Tonga
France/New Caledonia

FWIW tried to order and email from YachtFlags dot Com but they are non responsive. West Marine in Fort Lauderdale ( current location ) is a no go

Get some acrylic paint and make your own. Pretty simple to do. Lasts a surprisingly long time. The flag material can be most anything. I used cotton. Put a small brass grommet on top and bottom.

Re: Courtsey Flag Source ?

Before we left the States, I went to a local sail loft and with their permission, raided their spinnaker cloth offcuts. I bought a flag book. I sewed the flags. And appliqued the symbols. It was never a problem. A friend of ours colored hers with ink for cloth. Jim designed me templates for stars.

Good luck with it.

When no flag available once, we printed it on paper, and then used clear packing tape, a laminator would have been easier. Once ashore we would buy a small country flag from souvenir store - cost about $2

The Galapagos Islands are part of Ecuadorian territory, recommend to use the national flag as the courtesy flag.

The Marquessa are one of five administrative divisions of French Polynesia, the Marquessa islands do have their own flag but the national flag of French Polynesia is the appropriate flag to fly.

Bon voyages

You can by a set by region (ex South Pacific or Carribean) and get all flags that might be needed.

Blue Water Books in Ft Lauderdale have very nice sewn flags, but last time I went in there, all the flags that had the British flag as part of the design (which is many) the Union Jack flag was upside down on one side!

As I mentioned in my first post. Their order page does not function and no replies to my emails.
