Crazed nav light lens

Anyone have a miracle solution for crazed nav light lenses?
Still shines bright but doesn’t look great.
I know replacement may be the only option but I got nothing to lose by trying something. I am thinking stuff they use on automotive headlights.

Re: Crazed nav light lens

Nope, the lens is toast. Buy a new one imo. Headlight polish is effective because it removes the pitted layer from the front of the lens. In this case the lens structure has crazed and no amount of polishing will bring it back (that I know of anyway).

Re: Crazed nav light lens

You're right Nekton73. We have some acrylic drinking glasses, and they have crazed, but never been exposed to UV. The lenses in the navigation lights are exposed to UV and will all craze over time. They also get dull, and I'll bet some work with a toothbrush and lens polish will help clear some of that, though I've never tried it. I have tried it on Lexan dodger windows, with excellent results, AND it is a lot of work. Of course, it IS different material. For the light lenses, ultimately, replacement is the only option I know of.
