This is wrong on sooooo many levels. Flat and warm should NOT be in the same sentence with the word beer.....

Here's a good one

1 Package Cool Aid +1 Gallon water + one cup of Everclear= One big party at a reasonable cost.

10 000 is the limit but just got back from the Mediterranean where I saw tons more being spent. Fortunately for us, things were under control with the assistance of a DMC (Absolutely Southern France) who prepared everything including restaurant outings and wine tours.

Re: Cruising on $500 per Month . . .

There is a thread on this site about and dedicated to Brewing on board along the way.

I think I would just make apple jack instead.

You may have confused the word "cruising" in the CF with "cruise ship" - CF is about people on their own private boats "cruising" the waters of the world. In this particular thread, the discussion is how to "cruise the waters of the world" in your own boat on a very small budget.

Re: Beer....

I still have a 5 L keg of german beer bought in Martinique. Cost EUR$ 5

On my last trip, I stocked up with german beer in 500 ml cans at EUR$0.50 each.

I also found local Jamaican, Mexican, Venezuelan, Chinese, New Zealand, Ecuadoran, Malaysian, and South African brews to be inexpensive and good.

The prices all mentioned are lots more than I pay. It is critical for those on a micro-budget to buy beer when cheap and available and to use the stash sparingly for entertaining aboard.

IE: forget about meeting at the Bar. Raft up instead, and party aboard.

Hey INDY

Thanks for all the knowledge and wisdom you have lent me for my life.

Is that your Pegasus for sale in FLA on yacht-world?

Cheers

Don't be silly.... gotta go to the bar... thats where the women are...
If you think my idea of a fun night is sitting with a buch of hairy a*sed grey bearded sailors talking about hose's in front of fan belts and the virtues of inmast furling your off your trolley mate....
I'm away where there's live music and cheap booze... the native quarters....

I have been home brewing for years. Even grow my own hops. Home brewing makes excellent beer. It does not however make excellent cheap beer. A case of my home brew costs as much or more than good store bought beer.
