Deck Repair

I had some damage to my deck from Hurricane Ian. The anchor got pinned under the sea wall, the tension on the anchor chain pulled the back of the windlass up and cracked the deck. I did some research on YouTube and figured I could tackle the project. When I began cutting out the crack, I discovered some wet core and decided to expand my cut until I hit dry balsa. I used vinylester resin with layers of chop and biaxial mat. After I got the glass sanded flat, I put on some gelcoat....more sanding....and re-applied Kiwi Grip to match the rest of the deck. This was my first time doing such an extensive fiberglass project, I'm pleased with the results.

Sure thing. All three of those channels have loads of DIY info. Andy @ Boatworks Today does a great job at explaining stuff and his videos are well produced. I've been watching Mads @ Sail Life for years, it is inspiring to see the projects he takes on and figures out.
