Dismal swamp depths

We are headed south and trying to decide whether to take the Dismal swamp route or not. Our sailboat draws 5'2". Anyone pass through lately?
Thanks, David

Re: Dismal swamp depths

Not too recently, but we went thru last fall with 4'6" draft. No problems at all.
We do plan on coming back up in the next several weeks, so I would appreciate any feedback you can provide if you do go.

Re: Dismal swamp depths

An occasional bump from a few logs, over hanging tree branches and watch your raw water intake filter for duck weed if present. Other wise it’s a very much worthwhile trip at least once !
