Damn good reason to carry a gun....I am just glad we as americans dont have to have a reason to carry a gun...DVC

Re: Do you pack ''HEAT'' while you sail?

Anyone that has tried to boat a 200+ lb halibut without shooting it, knows that is just plain crazy. A gun is a tool, no different than an axe, knife or other blunt or sharp instrument. It is the person that is using the tool that is either a help or a hazard.

Still plenty around though if you have contacts.
I think that might be the reason it was started but my understanding was that it wasnt in the constitution and that made it real easy to "take" the guns away...In the US it reads that we have the right to have and bare arms, didnt say anything about the right to have and bare ammunition thou, some think that will be the control for arms in America..each bullet will have its own id number and each box and if the numbers dont match you get in trouble...silly mess, wont work here...DVC

Re: Do you pack ''HEAT'' while you sail?

This is a sailing forum, not a gun forum and the only possible reason to discuss guns here, in a manner that won't see the thread closed*, is in the context of cruising.

*that's a hint

Re: Do you pack ''HEAT'' while you sail?

Study finds that carrying a gun increases risk of getting shot and killed.
Boy I love Google!
More people are murdered by a realitive or friend!
Suicides are quite common by firearm
Shooting someone to defend yourself is really one of the few times that guns are used.
