Re: Do you sail all year round?

Of course, sail the NZ north island summer Nov thru to April then over to Queensland to do the milk run north from Goldcoast to tropical North Queensland on the sou east trades, back on the summer northerlies easy peasy. I haven’t had a winter since 2014, don’t do cold anymore. Lots of liveaboards do it annually you get to make heaps of friends.

Re: Do you sail all year round?

Late fall and winter is the sailing season in south Florida; very active. There are many good sailing days during winter in Southern California. We have an all weather harbor at Catalina Island for an "offshore" transit destination. So, yes; quite often. Generally SW to NW, North wind in summer. South, SE to NE wind common in winter, etc. NE wind is dry desert wind. Can be quite strong along parts of the coast, but you can sail in it.
