Entering the USA at Key West

Our Boat has been out of the country since November 2008. SanDiego to Roatan. We have spent a month or so at a time on the boat during the trip. What should We expect re-entering the USA at Key West.... Advise?

Be Well,

Re: Entering the USA at Key West

We sailed a boat bought in The Cayman Islands into Key West last winter. We went to a marina and called Customs. They told us to come by the customs office at Key West airport withing 24 hours. No Problem they were very nice no issue. Look up the phone number on internet or a phone book.

Had bill of sale for boat and our passports, was all that was needed.

Sounds like a similar situation we had been out of US for about 30 days.

Good luck

Also expect to Pay $25 for your annual customs sticker.

Customs decals now $27. They will probably give you a temporary clearance and require you buy the decal and then call back with the number.
