Extra short (7 inch) winch handle?

The PO owner of my boat positioned the winch on the coach roof under the dodger so that an 8" winch handle can just clear the strut holding up the dodger. However there's not enough room for my fingers and I'm tired of banging my knuckles. I'd like to avoid moving the dodger strut or the winch if possible so does anyone know where i could find a 7" winch handle? If not any ideas for making one?

Thanx

Re: Extra short (7 inch) winch handle?

The Flipper would work, but it might be cheaper to change the dodger strut:

Re: Extra short (7 inch) winch handle?

Thanks for the suggestion but I checked the spec's and the measurement with handle vertical is 205mm or 8.071 inches. I've not come across any winch handle shorter than 8" so maybe I'll have to have something made custom or make something myself.
