Facebook Markerplace

Does anyone have a clue about what is going on with Facebook Marketplace ? I use Marketplace for boat related searches, in that sense it is wonderful having a huge selection Coast to Coast. But on my IPad I get kicked off of the site ( including Facebook) within about a minute or two ? On my smartphone I get a notice that there is no items available with in 160 kilometers no matter what I am searching for. The distance limitation is a new ( terrible) thing. What in the hell ?? Does anyone know of an alternative to Marketplace other than Craigslist or eBay. Marketplace could be a great search engine but it is soooooo screwed up !

While we are at it, where is the best place to sell used marine gear? Or even new stuff that you never used? It’s almost time for me to sell a bunch of stuff.

I used to just listed on eBay with no reserve and it did pretty well. I haven’t done that in a decade at least. So I have no idea what the right place is now.

Just checked now on my chromebook. It's working fine as far as I can tell.

You can adjust the search settings to increase the search radius out to 500 miles.

I have not had the issues you mention, and I use FB marketplace often for shopping.

Can’t comment on the kicking off thing (FB is working fine for me), but in MP, check your location filter. Just looked at mine and for some reason, my location had changed to a town 25 miles away. Maybe yours changed to the middle of the desert where nothing is available.
