Where you have a number of floats is because the combination of depth and current effecting the down line. Pass the last float - normally with the flag. I have had 5 @ 6 inch floats held under water for 2 weeks due to tidal currents. What gear is on the other end (lines, traps or nets is not relevant to a cruiser).
