Formosa / CT 41 Owners Group ?

pardon me for such a specific inquiry, but i was wondering if anyone knows of a Formosa/CT 41 owners group website?

yesterday i found an owners group site for the Formosa 51/force 50 and was very envious. it was set up great! i joined but as a formosa 41 owner i feel a little...um...misrepresented...

I have a CT48 and would like to be part of an older CT group if you find one.

CT41 Owner

Max
I am a member of a Formosa CT41 owners group. It operates via Yahoo Groups. Lots of members and boats all over the world. I bought mine in the Solomon Islands in 2004. I lived on board the boat for 3 years while I refitted her before setting out for Australia. Sailed her in to Cairns in October 2008.

Back in action!

It's been a long time since I have last been on here and when I was, I was searching for my first boat.

Well, since then, I have found her - sold to me, under contract, as a CT41 only to find out a few days ago that she is, in reality, a Formosa Transworld 41...legal issue there? Since buying her, I have been overseas for 2 years and only went home to sail her before purchase, purchase her, move her and get work started on a refit...only to be screwed there too...keeps getting better.

Anyways, I'm now returning home and the boat will be priority. I'm looking to network with all of you 41 owners and get a support group as I work out this refit and legal action .

I noticed that we really don't have a site dedicated to us and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a web group for the 41 family to include CT's IT's, Formosa, etc? I have some web knowledge and would be happy to get a group started for us with chat function, and all social abilities as facebook. So, let me know.

Anyways, I look forward to building a lasting relationship with everyone.

Ok, this time, I go.

Cheers!

Dave

Hi I'm a new member on this forum and I too have a CT41. How did the situation go with your masts?

Thank you for posting that. I have a 1974 CT41 and I am going to take the spruce masts off of her and replace them with aluminum masts. I can't find anything wrong with the mizzen but the main mast has had some fir scarfed in over the years, by whom do not know, so I'm just going to go with aluminum. If anyone might need a main mast for one of these boats or knows someone that might know anything about them my phone number is 360-846-7719

Re: Formosa / CT 41 Owners Group ?

I know this is an old thread... but, there IS a Formosa 41 (Specifically a Transworld Formosa) owners page on Facebook.
