Re: FREE, or close to free!

Needs more than just "a cleaning", but you could probably get it for under the asking price of $3500. Not bad for a fixer upper CD 27.

Wow all three from my transportable blue-water list, dying here.

Actually Tartan's a touch over beamy, does the CD27 have good headroom like the 25D?

Not sure but I would assume the cabin is damn close to the same

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Another one. There was one of these for sale in CT over the summer last year and I tried a few times to get to see it, but the owner was a VERY odd guy. I don't think it ever did sell.... matter of fact I don't think it was ever really for sale! I think he was a lonely guy just wanting to talk boats with people. Anyway, for 22k (asking) you get a seriously amazing boat!

Re: FREE, or close to free!

These last couple of boats should be in the "Boats less than 30K" thread. That Pearson is a serious boat!

This is when it pays to have a truck, trailer, yard and a container full of tools ready.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

CD27 apparently has 6' headroom:
https://www.goodoldboat.com/promo_pdfs/Sept15_Promo.pdf
CDSOA, Inc. -- CD27

kinda hard to find a bare hull of a better bluewater 27' for $3500.

Don,

Unless of course it's a Columbia 29 for ten bucks.

Never understood why people would varnish cockpit seats. It turns them into skating rinks.

I was just working in a yard where they varnished and buffed them and I swear I almost died walking on them.

Ain’t that the truth. The first time you do a face plant on a winch or coamings edge you’ll see why it’s just not done, unless you don’t really plan to go sailing... or step on the boat.
