Re: FREE, or close to free!

The Tanzer 22 is a great boat that sails well and is durably built. Has a strong (almost cult like) following. I owned one myself back in the day. Here's one for free that likely needs nothing more than a good scrub. Located in Ontario, Canada, just east of Toronto (on or near Lake Ontario).

She gone!
Was it in the water? Dinged up mast? Soft spots? Holes above the waterline, that sort of thing? Posting has been removed btw.

$350 is the price. I envision repurposed hobie 16 pontoons as amas, maybe attached with a couple chopped masts... for $350 you can do whatever you want! See what works and then chop it up and do it again with a worthier hull.

It may have soft spots, I didn't get on it.

It had some deep cracks in the deck gelcoat. Old cushions in the cockpit.

The boat just looked old and something I wouldn't buy. And it's a really small boat. Plus I had to walk right by a well kept Cape Dory 30K with aft wheel on the way out to this boat

My own boat is old and needs lots of cosmetic work, but to me, it still looks strong and has the right equipment. But that could also be because I've owned it longer (7 years) than any of my other 12 or so boats since I was around 16.

Thanks for the follow up! I can almost smell the mildew on the cushions...
