1981 Mariner 28 for $6500

Mariners were made in New Hampshire and were very well made. When Ted Hood closed Little Harbor down In Marblehead many of his woodworkers went to Mariner for work and they did top notch work.

That's my old Mariner 28. I initially got it a few years ago with the idea of moving her to Florida via ICW. Very well built and a great sailor. After several seasons of ownership I realized that I just do not have time to move her solo and all of my sailing buddies who were initially clamoring to crew have moved away or have jobs now which would not allow crewing time off. So sadly I had to sell her and now just have Mariner 36.

Basically it is Sabre quality boat for a fraction of the Sabre price. PM me if you have further questions.

BTW there is a by invitation only Mariners owners forum with tons of 8nfo etc but not sure if they accept
non-owners.

Hi Treyolsen,

Not sure what boat you're asking about. This is a thread that Jefjo opened to notify the community of economically priced boats that are for sale. If you look at the last couple of pages, those boats are still available. The Triton from a couple of weeks ago sold in an eBay auction for between $1,500-3,000.

The recent Mariner 28 for $6,500 looks lovely and there is even a post from its owner.

Good luck finding your boat!

Re: FREE, or close to free!

I couldn't think of anywhere else to post this boat, it's not a bad photo so it doesn't belong in that thread. It's cheap and will likely be free, as you can see from the picture below...

https://baltimore.craigslist.org/boa...744562591.html

It is priced at $5,000 currently, but the seller is friggin looney. Seriously, lost they mind! No one in their proper mind is going to pay for that.

Arguing with delusional owners is like*trying to teach a pig to sing.

If you are in a position to just sit back, wait, and walk into the picture at just the right time. . .

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Did you see the interior pictures of that Hunter? As an engineer, I've seen sanitary sewer systems cleaner than the interior of that boat.

I'll not be walking in to the picture of this one, I don't want to catch anything. Just wanted to share the most disgusting boat I've ever seen.
