I can read Capt.Slocum’s book over and over. He wrote it over 100 years ago and it somehow stands the test of time. I am up late reading Two Years Before the Mast by: Richard Henry Dana before I got sidetracked on the forum. It takes place about 60 years before Capt. Slocum was offered the Spray. If I like half as much Sailing Alone it will be well worth reading.

S2 9.2 listed as “best offer”. I prefer a suggested price, just so I know what the poster is thinking. Still, a nice boat, very popular, and the language makes me think it could be had for a couple thousand. Looks nice to me.

Chances of that balsa cored hull being sound are slim.

Aha! See this is why I bother, cause I learn so much. One of the nicest features of my Catalina capri 25 is that the decks are made of a composite foam material- no wood, no worries! Not that I knew that when I bought it, but it is a nice feature. Thanks for sharing.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Hey all!! So sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have slowed down a bit probably due to sellers having recently paid storage fees and the holidays happening, but I'm sure just after the 1st of the years we'll see a jump in for sale postings! Cheers to all of you and happiest holidays!

Wow I'd love to see that boat parked in front of my garage with a bow on it.
Happy holidays right back at ya!

5k not free, but trailerable blue water liveaboard potential. Worth a look and wonder, to be sure.

Ooh, beautiful, right up me alley, and its trailer!

But only a bargain if actually sound and engine works.

And wow, lots of wood to care for.

Headroom?

Passed up a Cheoy Lee Lion 35'

same trailerability, beam @ 8'9"

but 14000# dry!
