Not uncommon for people to do this, especially on Craigslist. Don’t ask me why. I have contacted people on Craigslist and Facebook Market and not received a reply for 3 weeks. Or not at all. Yes, it is strange.

41' Sea Wolf full keel for $1000. This would be an excellent starting point for someone wanting to do a complete refit. No affiliation.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

I'm trying to find information from Liquidice or anyone who knows something about the little red sail boat that I think was in the Montrose Marina in Chicago. The boat is a Halman Bluejacket 23 MS. If anyone has information about where it is or who the owners is please let me know.

Thanks

FREE 17' MacGregor Venture Sailboat (huntington station)

This one has been up for a while, but I figured that someone might be interested in it. Looks like a fun little daysailor. Probably not a whole lot that you'd have to do to get it on the water other than transport it and scrub it up. Might be worth taking a peek. Might even be able to put some tires on the trailer and get it working, too.

22' Rhodes Continental Sailboat (Manahawkin, NJ)

As long as I'm posting ugly free sailboats today, here's another one. Might just need a scrubbing to get it in the water. The ad says that it has everything you need, but I didn't see a sail listed.

Looks like a Catalina 36 to me.
Pretty amazing it's free. You'll need a dinghy with at least a 9.9 hp on it tied off its quarter to move it around, for someone who lives nearby, this could be a good find, but buying anew engine, mast and sails is a huge expense. Is the Catalina 36 worth it? Hmmm... maybe

And who knows what condition the engine is in? The seller just says that the condition is unknown. Stick a new battery in the boat and it might fire right up. I'd love to hear if someone goes out and looks at it.

If the engine is in good shape then it really would be a good find.

Or if it's not there could be good for me if I were in the market. Wrong coast
