Full Battens on the Main

beautiful day here in Anacortes, think I'll bend on the new main. Oh look the battens stick out past the leech about 2 inches. Are they to be in with enough force to clear the leech, did I receive the wrong battens. So they go in with compression. Any tips on how the velcro and string works. This kinda stuff gets me. I've always slid in the batten, backed it up past the slit and all was good.

seems like it will take some force to get it even with leech.

where is the smiley that scratches his head.

Re: full battens on the main

They should slide all the way in and the velcro and string to seal the pocket...

It would be difficult to answer your question without more information. For example, do you have a battcar system? What's going on in the luff of all those battens?

Re: Full Battens on the Main

Battens had to be cut down.
