GENERAL LIVING ABOARD

Howdy y'all !!!
We be lookin' for a wall mount for our flat screen. Somethin' that would lock in to place on the wall when we're under way so it wouldn't swing out and flop

Have a look here. Just about every mounting style one could imagine:

That is a great site Aussiesuede, but often on boats a lot depends on how and where you want to use it.

When space is critical, you may end up making your own custom bracket, if you can find a way to multifunction the space.

For example I have a deep bookshelf that is 28” wide x 26” high x 16” deep that was in the perfect spot for a flat screen.

So I bought a 25” flat screen and recessed it inside the framework of the bookshelf, making an aluminum backing plate that extended to the left side and screwed into a heavy duty piano hinge that attached to the inside of the timber frame.

The TV sits almost flush with the frame with the DVD and Stereo faces below it.

It has 2 hidden barrel locks and hinges out to reveal 2 recessed shelves with our movie and music library as well as easy wiring access.

Looks great and is very secure in rough weather.
