Help finding good charter in the mediterranean

Hi!
In my quest to gain more sailing experience and to find out which boat I want to buy, I'm planning a four week sailing vacation in the mediterranean next summer.

We'll probably look to charter a boat in either Croatia, Greece or Turkey. We'll also have some friends aboard so it should take up to 6 people.

If anyone has recommendations or cautionary tales from personal experience regarding chartering a sailboat in any of these areas, I'd greatly appreciate to hear about it. Thanks!
