Here's what the forum rules have to say about trolling: "Trolling and cyberstalking are NOT allowed and are grounds for account restriction or banishment. Trolling on this board includes posting controversial and often irrelevant or off-topic messages with the intention of (or anticipated result of) baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal, harmonious on-topic discussion, especially when a pattern of such posting is apparent."

Get it? "Baiting users into an emotional response?" See any of that going on here?

You want to be gullible, fine. Don't get angry at the rest of us for not taking the bait.
I'm sure this forum is a much better place for your policing efforts. Please carry on.

Re: Help please...... Im new and lost

Welcome to CruisersForum, HILAL
In fact, the Sportyak has been designed and made by the Tabur company in the 1960s before it was taken over by Bic. Many are still in use in Brittany as tenders between the shore and sheltered moorings in rivers.

When I was a kid in the 1970s, the doctor told my parents that rowing would be good for me. So, they bought a Sportyak and I rowed/sculled it along beaches, with a lifejacket and in good conditions. It is still in my parents' garden...

Atoll, I don't see what's wrong with the Sportyak if used within it's limitations. Presumably you'd hate my inflatable kayak too. However, in terms of fun had per dollar, it's the best thing I ever bought. It is however totally unseaworthy, in the sense that you could not cross a sea in it. However it can get you right round San Leandro bay on a sunny afternoon which a sailboat cannot.

Will probably work for that but I would not take this out in any kind of wind or waves at all. Good for a pond or small lake. Basically don't go any further than you could easily swim.

You already saw the recommendations for the motor. Specs say max 12 Kg wt for whatever motor you try.

people have crossed oceans on windsurfers and row boats, however i would not recommend it!

advising someone to put outboard on a dinghy that is barely safe for one person to row
may be beyond the scope of this forum
