Help with Changing a Light Bulb

Hi..

This fixture is on a newer Jeanneau 2015 and trying to change the LED to different color but the glass not coming out . My older boat the glass just came off easily. Is the unit sealed or do I need to use force?
I posted on the Jeanneau but it is quiet over there.

Thanks

Abe

Q: How many boat owners does it take to change a light bulb?
A: The task requires five owners …
One to change the bulb, and four to stand around and tell how they could have done it better.
In the case of the “yachty”, it only takes one…
She holds the bulb, and the world revolves around her.

Q: How many boatyard workers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: How many can you afford?

Q: How many Engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: It's a very obscure number, you probably won't have heard of it.

Q: How many stock brokers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Two. One to take out the bulb and drop it, and the other to try and sell it before it crashes.

Q: How many economists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. If the light bulb needed changing, the market would have already done it.

Q: How many climate change skeptics does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None. It's too early to say if the light bulb needs changing, and besides, they don't use light bulbs, because they can't see the light.

Re: Help with Changing a Light Bulb

Hi Abe,

I'm in the same boat as you (literally and figuratively). I was looking for an interior red LED bulb, or even better a LED light with a white or red light switch option, but could not find anything to fit the Jeanneau fixture.

Until I find a permanent solution, on my next night passage I'm going to fit a piece of photography lighting gel filter between the frame and LED lens. You can find various colors pretty cheap on Amazon. I'll let you know how that goes.

Re: Help with Changing a Light Bulb

I ended up placing strip led light 42 colors...dims and remote. Also bought and replaced the lights in question with ones you touch and dims and also turns blue.

Re: Help with Changing a Light Bulb

V dog...on the Jeanneau website under "difficulty changing light bulb" poster Tafika had a great suggestion for changing the lights.... I bought the 4 pack. They are touch sensitive, dimmable, and blue (no red).
I also put a strip light where the grab handles are at which are dimmable, and 40+ different colors. They are controlled by a remote control and I tapped into the wiring that feeds the ceiling switches.

Re: Help with Changing a Light Bulb

Thanks for leading me to the Jeanneau forum discussion. It looks like I have another boat project to add to my list.
