Re: Here Comes Isaac

Just got back from the marina. Several lost pilings. Boat next to us is going to need more than a new set of sails, its currently bashing itself to death on the pier. We popped one line which I replaced while there. Several other boats on the pilings. Carnage. I'm exhausted. Video soon.

Re: Here Comes Isaac

The neighbor's boat continues to grind its way into oblivion.

Things are finally calming down out there. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes, good luck to all who are, or may be in harm's way.

Re: Here Comes Isaac

So hoping all in Issac's path are okay. I can not believe Sundowners neighbor did not strip all the canvas off the boat. Were they out of town or are they not from the Gulf Coast? Hope that unprepared boat doesn't cause any damage to Sundowner or any other neighboring boats.

Agree! I'm always reading on here about how helpful cruisers are to each other. Not so much apparently in this case. I think about the vid someone posted last year showing folks rescuing boats that had broken loose in a marina during hurricane winds, in comparison this would have seemed an easy, decent thing to do.

I personally would have tried to do something earlier, but we don't know the situation there. Help when you can, but never put yourself in harms way.

Re: Here Comes Isaac

That hole appears to be low enough to the water line where it may cause him to sink.

Re: Here Comes Isaac

Hmmm, should I cross this dusty road to help that naked bleeding guy?

Naaah....might be a trick. Besides, he might have a contagious disease.

Seeya buddy, hope it turns out well for ya.....
