Hilton Head/Port Royal Sound - Where to go, what to do?

I just relocated my boat (Hunter 38) to Skull Creek marina, Hilton Head.

Looking for suggestions on places to sail for a day/weekend. Where's nice to drop the hook for lunch or overnight, or for a few days.

Any local activities? Maybe even a bit of uncompetitive racing (is there such a thing?).
