Tough call, but if you really want to sell quickly, price the boat to sell !! Otherwise it could sit on the market for a year....or more....
The boat is at $25,000 below sisterships that are in worse condition. It’s going to sell very quickly based on price. Location may slow it down a bit.

Hurricanes are what they are. My catamaran has had the eye pass over it twice now and took an incredible beating one of those times because I trusted a marina’s equipment. Still fixing all that damage. But the cat is sitting in Florida now.

Re: How Important is Location When Selling a Boat?

well, it has been brutally hot here of late.....and extremely humid too...we've had several weeks of west winds now...no cooling seabreeze...being outside has been a merciless task.
But, despite that, people are apparently looking to buy boats..or so I hear...

Then there is the whole C-19 thing...
Florida is in the news daily...mostly from the Miami area...but I can't discern hoopla from reality anymore...and it hasn't seen to be affecting the marine crowd, near as I can tell...
10 murders a day doesn't make the news anymore...but a 98 yr old dying from C-19...so they say...is headline news..

The Florida Key are also in a bit of a panic right now as out-of-staters are flooding there..

Tomorrow is supposed to bring " normal" Florida summer weather....whatever that means.

Anyway, wishing you the best luck in your boat sale efforts !

Re: How Important is Location When Selling a Boat?

Well my boat did sell in Maine BUT...

THE TRANSACTION CAN’T BE COMPLETED!

Location does matter. Locations with surveyors!

No surveyors available until the end of August here.

So I’m moving it down to the CT/RI border in the hopes there are surveyors available to complete the transaction.

It’s impossible to sell a boat at this time due to the sheer number of people buying them. Surveyors are booked solid.
