How To? DSC ping for yacht position

I searched high an low but cannot find instructions how to ping another VHF (DSC enabled) radio and obtain its GPS position.

We have a Icom 402 VHF radio with DSC, into which we programmed our IMSI number as well the IMSI numbers of some friends. Our VHF radio is connected to a GPS - our friends as well.

How do we ping their VHF radio and receive their GPS position?
Can anybody refer or post clear instructions how this is done?

... no need to search 'high and low', just look at page 15 of your manual ;-) ...

Re: How To? DSC ping for yacht position

Using DSC to ping other boats is great. We first used last year when sailing back from Northern Queensland and I finally found someone who had set up their radio properly. We also use in Sydney with our dive boat to see where our friends are diving.

Of course, the best feature is being able to call them using DSC and go straight to a working channel without any hassle.
