How to get rid of wood lice

Picked up a mid 80’s boat that was suffering from neglect. Fixed up the various leaks (hatches and hardware) so now the decks are water tight. I have noticed the presence of tiny wood lice occasionally. Any ideas on how to get rid of these pesky bugs?

Re: How to get rid of wood lice

Get the boat dry. Really, really dry (dehumidifier and fix all leaks). I assume the boat will be out of the water in the winter.

A really hard freeze will help. Coming in January.

And of course, sprays.

One chap recommended to treat the boat to an ozone machine…I have zero experience with this. Any insight is appreciated.

I didn’t know that Woodlice are terrestrial crustaceans [isopods], and more closely related to shrimp, crawfish, lobsters and crabs, than insects and millipedes. Most of the 10,000 known species live in the ocean.
Unlike many crustaceans, these animals do not have a real shell. Their body is protected by an exoskeleton, composed of plates. Their thorax also has seven pairs of legs called, pereiopods.
