Been viewing CF for years, never got around to registering )8 .
My thanks to everyone here, I've learned a lot, much appreciate it; hope to contribute a little now once in a while.
I've been on the water since about four y/o (older'n sand now), sailing since teens, owned several smaller boats (sail and power), crewed on big boats. Current roster is a Newport 28 and a Robalo 20 CC o/b, stomping grounds are the mid Texas Gulf Coast (once did a TDY in SoCal, kept the Hobie at Dana Point then, when it was a lot smaller).
Anyway, nice to meet y'all.

Welcome to the forum TxJ. I did the Texas coast once with an overnight at Port Aransas - nice stop. I was on my way to Key West and would have enjoyed that coast even more than I did if I could have gone a little lower and slower. As it was I traveled at about 500 feet and 150 m.p.h. - in a small plane.

I've spent much sea & land time around Port A, Port Isabel too; homeported in Rockport now.

The Valley was home for many years, still miss it; dang it's cold up here, heheh. Plan on cruising down there soon for a while. Used to do the Rough Rider Regatta many years ago (a bit like the Worrell 1000, only 1/10 the distance, from PI/SPI to Snoopys/NPI up the ICW, Laguna Madre-Landcut-Baffin--).
