I bought another boat!

G'day all,
I have been slogging away as a one man band trying to get my 45' Roberts Mauritius into the water.
This boat sat on the hard for 10 years before i bought it, almost 4 years ago. Long story short, it is not far off being splashed, but the rigging (running & standing) need to be replaced and the interior fit out needs to be finished off.
My intention is to use the boat to take Veterans & EMS personnel suffering from PTSD but not limited too, out to sea for the day on a Wellness program.
Anyway an opportunity came up to buy a boat in the same shipyard & on the hard also, from a deceased estate.
My partner & I love it. S.V. Mystic is a 42' steely, Ketch Rigged, Pilot House Roberts Spray. She is severely in need of paint but her bones are very good. To quote the Surveyors report in summing up; " A classic design that has been professionally well built. Needs paint & some TLC".
Launched 12/91 and powered by a Perkins 4-236 with only 1350 hours.
Rigging is good. Fit out is ok, I have a full range of new electronics for her. I envisage she will be splashed by the end of October. Fully operational by the end of November.

Did the surveyor check the hull thickness for you?
Just curious as to what AMSA thinks of you taking veterans out for day trips?

We are running this absolutely f.o.c to all veterans & EMS. As an ex Veteran with ptsd, i am doing this off my own back, this is not a commercial venture! It would be a different story if I was making money from it. All the required safety gear will be onboard.
