What? Trees are genetically incapable of growing near train tracks so they aren't a problem there?

Fine, run train tracks next to all the major freeways where you want to run a catenary for trucks.

Or just trim back the trees like they do for the trains. They trim trees back from power lines in the back country all the time, shouldn't be a problem along a major highway where access is so much easier.

If something disables the catenary for a section of highway, the trucks need to carry moderate sized batteries anyway so they just battery across the gap in service. There were going to be gaps anyway for on and off ramps, tunnels misc. things. And when the trucks leave major arterials they would need batteries there anyway. Thing is with a catenary charging is done while driving, no need to stop for recharging so long-haul truckers are only limited by mandatory rest periods and the need for food.

Just one question .
Who is going to pay for all this rapid ( nothing is ever rapid when governments are involved)
Implementation of subsidized infrastructure?

That's a good question. Who paid to build the interstate highway system? Who pays to maintain it? Who pays for research into better highway paving? Who pays to build port facilities? Who paid to build all the airports in the US? Who pays to maintain them.

Oh the questions are so difficult. Obviously it will never be built.

2) research into better paving materials? Private industry trying to save themselves money on installing.
3) who pays to maintain? The people that buy gasoline and diesel fuels ( fuel tax)
4) Port facilities? The taxpayers.
5) paid for airports? Taxpayers.
6) maintain them ? Taxpayers
BTW 80% of taxpayers will not use an airport that they are paying to maintain .

Eventually they will realise the taxpayer is out of money . Then what?

We must all actually look at all aspects and the future of same

Inboard engines and a changing world

Major public infrastructure is built using a combination of public and private funds and maintenance and upgrades tends to be done with user fees except highways which are maintained by states which generally use gas taxes which is a form of user fee.

Airports are only directly used by a small percentage of residents but greatly benefit local economies.

Regardless, pay now to avoid a future problem or pay more in the future to mitigate the damage of that problem plus pay for the means to stop exacerbating the problem.

Indeed we 'must'.

Of course it helps to have a basic understanding of 'money'....

Saying 'they will realise the taxpayer is out of money', in this context, seems to belie that understanding.

BTW that was private company that had the genetic sequencing code before even starting afterall it is just a varient of the sars covid 03 so was not difficult to modify an already existing " vaccine"
