Instructional Video and Book Recommendations ?

I have a couple of requests for videos/books (or both together) for splicing rope(3 strand and double braid). I think Samson sells a kit but what do you all recommend?

Brion Toss has some very good videos. I can splice double braid now with out instructions....Lifetime skills are great to build up......:-)
