Re: Interesting read

I'm thinking that if I was at a boatshow, and saw a vendor yell foul language at... well anybody, I'd think a lot less of that vendor.

I wouldn't buy the product either.

Re: Interesting read

Great. Even though I am from across the big ocean I second you.

How often do I receive invoices for boating products addressed to a Mr.
They just can not understand that there are women buying and running boats these days.

Even happens on Vhf sometimes, despite explaining that it's to be Mam and not Sir.
And I don't have a deep dark voice :-)

Very poor customer skills that is for sure. My wife did all the negotiations about purchasing our yacht, purchasing new sails and most repair work since. She is the qualified one (at least for sailing, I am a certified coxswain).

Even today many car salesmen (and I mean men) still only address the male when a couple want to buy a new car. When will they learn?

Re: Interesting read

Just spent a couple of minutes perusing the intro videos on their website. Saw an african american judge, asian doctor (female), another caucasian female doctor, all in a short period of time. Could it be that you have hastened to judgement?

It is true that most of the sailors portrayed are white and older men. Could be improved maybe. Still, wondering why you're picking on this small business in particular?

Just had a look at the box covers of their various products on their website. Most feature one or more women who are obviously in command.
