Re: Is there a down side to single reefing lines?

I have put a small block on the forward reef point in the sail to reduce friction but now the clew does not come down as easily or as far as the reef tack.
Setting aside the fact that I hate the lines flopping around all season just for the one or two times I need to reef the main, has anyone put another block at the reef clew point to balance the friction?

I have a small light block on the clew for this purpose. It works fine.
