Jeanne Socrates coming up on Cape Horn again

Jeanne Socrates on SV Nereida is just starting to think about rounding Cape Horn yet again in her attempt to round the 5 capes without stopping from Victoria BC. So far she has battled electrical problems, rigging failures and wonky weather all with a smile on her face.
Did I mention she's going solo.
Did I mention shes in her mid 70's!
Follow her at her daily updates at: https://svnereida.com/
Over the next week or so there is one gale and one storm that should collide with her somewhere pretty close to the cape. Join me in sending her huge props and respect along with best wishes for a safe rounding of Cape #1.
You can track her here:

She is very brave - I'm rooting for her.
Seems like she will get into some head winds soon and she will be in the same neighborhood as some of the GGR racers.
Godspeed on their journey.

Getting busy down there https://maps.sail.cloud/home/event/19

Yacht ENE of the Falklands also seems to have come from the PNW..

Edit... hadn't heard of him before.. http://figure8voyage.com/blog/
