Welcome and nice trip! I doubt that the economic grief of Greece motivated them... probably their relatives that were selling souvenirs and gyros contributed more... Do not try to judge Greeks behavior with a western mindset. Once a taxi driver was complaining all the way about the country's situation, but when we arrived he said: "but we are Greek, as soon as the spring comes we do not care about anything, till October, when we start thinking again how difficult is for Greece.."
