I recommend Louis (Lou) Stahlberg, (281) 639-3014, LHS Marine Services, Marine Surveyor . He did thorough in-water and out-of-water surveys of our boat a couple of years ago.

I used Paul Fannin about 11 years ago and found him to be quite thorough.
I don’t think there’s such a thing as a perfect surveyor and I’m sure most miss a few items.
Missing the manual bilge pump to me is understandable unless the bilge has enough water in it to test. Missing the primary winches is wrong, though that is something I as a buyer would have hopefully caught before survey.

Drake Epple grossly undervalued my Pearson 424 in an insurance survey. I asked him to send me the comps that he used, but he never did.
