Last Hope

Here is my situation.

I have a 37' Ferro Cement boat. I have a $400 slip fee. I also have $600 in my bank account.

I am NOT looking for a handout.

I am looking for help in getting a job. As long as it is Legal and Moral I'm willing to learn. I live in SoCal (San Pedro) but moving is not a problem. I have had a varied work history. If you would like specifics or have any suggestions please email me here or at sordid.tales@gmail.com.

Thanks

Scott

Re: Last Hope

Get out of that marina. Sail or motor up to SF and get a job in a boatyard. Live on the hook for a while. Try KKMI in Sausalito.

Re: Last Hope

Forget the boat...use your $600 to buy a pair of steel toed boots & a bus ticket to Minoc, North Dakota.

Re: Last Hope

Thanks for the replies.

I have given my 30 day notice and they are taking September slip fee out of my deposit (done before seeing your reply). I have a few things that have to be done to the boat before sailing anywhere. I will try San Fran upon leaving here.

Last time I checked the oil company websites there were no roust-a-bout jobs listed. Did I miss them?

Re: Last Hope

Use the steel toes to frame houses, swamp for trucking companies, yard worker in oil field supply warehouse etc.

Always excuses...get to work. Might seem harsh but I told my kids the same thing and they are all on the road to success(they don't live on boats though).
