leaving boat in Equador for 2 months

Greetings: Does anyone know of a secure marina to leave a boat (in the water or on land) for 2 months? Thanks, Pam s/v Glide

Do you think usd$300 a month on mooring is a lot? Looks like about the same price as the St Augustine transient moorings.

Resident pay about $100 a month in salt run. I think storage only for non residents is still under $200.

As another example, I have my 19.5' beam cat hauled in NC this winter @ $170 per month. Friend of mine is storing her 35' mono in pretty rural area of Panama and it's like $330 per month

Transient rates apply to cruisers. I just looked at the St Augustine mooring field cause that was on your Id. It's pretty close to $300. Either way, it's all about location. The price of winter storage in Maine isn't very useful to someone who wants to be in Ecuador.

A service offered in the third world to visitors that is not needed by locals is not likely to be super cheap. Where the locals take care of their own security, the cruiser wants to pay for security while they are absent.

Had good experience leaving boat on mooring on the river at Puerto Amistad in Caraquez.
Interesting area and people.

We left our boat in Puerto Amistad for a month while we went backpacking in Ecuador and Peru. Recommended. You need a pilot to enter and leave the river, it is quite shallow.
