The ringing sound you here is the cash register. To quote a lawyer: " A well researched and carefully crafted document of course would run a little more " Read $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Yes you sometimes get billed for what the guy should already know. But in some jobs there is a tendency to steer away from the guy paid by commission, and go to the guy that bills by the job or hour. Billing can lead to what the government does, and that is to find new and creative ways to take our money. Ask how much it will cost first. Ask the commission guy how he is paid.
