Liferaft Size

Here is the dilemma.

I sail solo or 2 people a majority of the time, occasionally go up to 6 people, and may very rarely go to 8. What size liferaft does one get?

I have read that it is not good to have 2 people in a 6-person raft because it could invert with waves/wind.

I suppose a 2 and a 6 person liferaft would theoretically work, but I would prefer just one.

Hello
we did the RYA sea survival course, the advice from that was not to get too big a raft, in a big sea you get thrown around and you are better having it full to have something to brace against. at the moment we have an 8 man raft as it came with the boat and is still in service but will probably change it for a 4 man when it is due for service as i am not sure my wife could lift it to launch it. That much weight on a dark night, heaving deck possibly injured wont be much fun and if you are solo would be even worse.
don't know what the solution is for you though 2 rafts?
