Looking for an experience

New to the forum. My wife and I are in our middle 30’s and are considering the cruising lifestyle. I grew up running up and down the ICW in a 47’ sport fishing boat. wife has been land bound her whole life. I have never sailed. I am going to be purchasing a blue water capable boat in the near future. The wife is unsure if it’s the lifestyle for her. To make a long story short, we have considered chartering a boat for a week or two just to let her get an idea. I would rather pay someone who lives the lifestyle to bring us aboard. I feel like we could learn more and have a better experience. We are both healthy and clean people who are not afraid of hard work. In addition to compensation for the boat, we would also provide our own provisions. wife is a fabulous cook. I know this is a long shot but i am hopeful. Looking at an early november/december time frame. Would like to board somewhere along ICW or florida. Wouldn’t be opposed to a bahama trip.
