Looking for cohorts

Hi All,

I'm new to the sailing world and new to this forum and boy is it wonderful! I'm currently looking for some one (or three) to help me fill out a compliment for a live-aboard sailing course 1st or 2nd week in December with LTD Sailing, to get my sailing adventures off to a good start. I actually want to do the catamaran course. (psst...there's discounts for multiple bookings.)

There are no backpacks--which is the way i've usually traveled--and daily showers, good food, and beautiful scenery are a given, and ASA certs can be the take-aways. ;-)) Check it out and if you or someone you know are interested, let's chat.

Re: Looking for cohorts

Welcome to CF Colleen.

Might be useful to know where this is going to take place and perhaps a web link to the site so one can check out the atmosphere of the vendor and prices...

Re: Looking for cohorts

Thanks for the suggestion Ex-Calif. I wasn't sure about the rules of the forum regarding vendor links. So since you asked…here's the link

Catamaran Sailing School - Caribbean catamaran course - Ltd Sailing

And the course takes place in the Caribbean Islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Thanks for any interests.

Re: Looking for cohorts

Wow - One could do a lot worse on vacation than spending $2500 for 7 days on a cat + ending up with 4 ASA qualifications.

Does that include staying aboard and catering? If it does that is really an outstanding value.

Re: Looking for cohorts

It is an amazing opportunity and my communication with Chrystal, one of the owners, has been fabulous. It does include everything except ASA books if you're cert-ing, airfare, accommodations on shore, one or two dinners on shore throughout the week, 15-20% gratuity to the skipper, and alcohol. Everything else is included, including transportation from the airport, mooring fees, etc… And here's the kicker, they only need two people (one more than myself) to do the class for the same price. 3 sign up together and Chrystal gives 15% discount, 4 sign up together 25% discount!!!

I'm in for Dec. 14-20. Join me but hurray, they need about 3months noticed to reserve the charter...(not a used well worn teaching vessel, but new and well maintained charter boats)...Leopard 384, Leopard 3900, Leopard 38 Owners Edition, or Lagoon 380. Nice way to check out these cats if you're considering a purchase, as I am.

cheers,
c
