My Guy was excelent

I forget the company's name, but Kenny is the guy I talked to and the company's phone number is 207 594 0402. These guys were great to deal with. They called me everyday and let me know where my boat was. They gave me the drivers cell number and I could talk to him whenever I wanted. I just had my boat (432 Beneteau) hauled from Traverse City MI to the Chesapeake Bay I got them on a back haul which is a little cheaper. It was $4500. I know they haul boats to FL all the time and you may be able to catch a back haul. They haul sailboats all the time and have a special trailer to do it with.

Good luck

You might check with Norton's they have their own truck to run from Hunter to Deltaville, and in this economy they might make a run for you. about a day sail from Lottsburg

Not gonna sail the Westsail home? Keep going South!

I have transported boats for Bob and Bill, both were great to work for.

thanks for all of the information. I contacted three companies and am going with C&J Transport. Jim quoted $2500 and comes recommended by the marina here in Fort Pierce where the boat is currently in storage. All in all, the total cost will run around $4500 when you include haul out, transportation prep (removing mast/rigging and winterizing engine), offload, etc. I'll post how it goes in January when the boat arrives.

Spend that $4,500 and go south! That should last you at-least 6 months of cruising!

I used Thomas Wagner. Based on FL west coast.
Work: 813 792-0398
Mobile: 321 689-3431

Excellent job and as an added bonus, his trailer is fitted with a hydraulic system that allows him to pick up or drop off a boat anywhere you have a flat piece of ground you can back up a truck.
