Loss of SV "Tantrum"

We found a fairly recent wreck of an approximately 50 foot aluminium centre cockpit yacht on Malekula island Vanuatu, near the entrance to Crab bay. Looks like it may have been an Adams design, Australian registered (Cairns), and a very nice boat.

Wondering if anyone has any info, about how the boat ended up on the reefs, and if the crew were OK. Thanks.

There is also a report yesterday in the Sydney Morning Herald of a yacht sinking near the island of Flores in Indonesia. A Canadian has been rescued but an Australian is still missing

I did consider simple navigational error could have been the cause, certainly the charts for that area are a long way out, (and there really aren't any new ones) and if it was dark....

But I was hoping someone might actually know what happened - If i was looking for guesswork there'd be no need for a forum...
