Sounds like anywhere near that skipper might be "the wrong place."

“It was drama more than anything, but it’s sorted out now,” he said.

The owner makes it sound so nonchalant, I bet he wouldn't feel the same if it was his boat that sunk...

I would assume all the damage was covered, but that doesn't replace his "arogant" attitude, as if nothing has value, that sailboat could of been passed down generation to generation, or been built by the owner while he struggled to buy groceries while he was coming up with his bare hands....

It could of just been a **** boat, and the owner happy to get a replacement as well....

It was not the owner of the boat who said that, just the clown running the boat show.

Thanks for posting this. My brand new boat is about to go into a boat show on the Gold Coast Queensland. I have been stressing enough about lots of people stomping all through her. Now I have to stress about big boat running over her.

actually, i have seen the attitudes of some owners of megas be just as unaware as this--it kinda goes along with new money. like allowing the crew of these huge things just leave their basura on a dock and leave without transporting it to a proper receptacle. all the world are their servants.

so, like, are you going to change this though pattern just because it is not kindly to you or are you merely gonna cruise thru your life and let this kind of soul, which, btw, are more common than you know--exist on its own terms,as it should be.
or didja wanna make a new law outlawing this arrogance and behavior.....
